Lynx Add Former Kapuskasing Flyers Forward

The West Nipissing Lynx are proud to announce they have signed former Kapuskasing Flyers Midget AAA forward Sebastien Despatie from Hearst, ON.

Sebastien, a newly drafted Lynx (2017 GMHL Entry Draft - 11th round) is a 1999 born centre who measures 6'0" and 160 lbs. He spent the last two seasons with the Flyers of the GNML. He notched 8 goals and 19 assists for a total of 27 points last year in 19 contests all while serving as the teams Captain.

Sebastien is attending College Boreal in Sudbury this upcoming September and is anxious to kick off his Junior career here in West Nipissing. Despatie prides himself on attention to detail especially when it comes to his two-way play and defensive zone coverage. Albeit a natural centre, he can also play the wing as his elite vision and playmaking abilities serve his scoring line mates very well coming off the sideboards.

We are very excited to add a player of Sebastien's ability and leadership to the club as we look to complete what is already shaping up to be a very much improved roster for the upcoming 2017-2018 season!
