SLUGGISH START HAS LYNX FOCUSED ON UPCOMING WEEKEND'S 4 POINT OPPORTUNITY!

After a sluggish 1-5 start to the season, albeit an extremely difficult schedule, the Lynx shift their focus to the weekend ahead where they will face the defending champs the Ville-Marie Pirates on Friday night at home as well as the South Muskoka Shield on the road the following night, Saturday in Bracebridge.

The Lynx (1-5) played the Pirates (3-2) in Ville-Marie on opening weekend of this season in what was a tight contested game for a full 60 minutes that saw the Lynx eventually fall short by a score of 5-4. Rookie William Demers of Quebec was in goal for his first career junior start and is also expected to start this Friday as he seeks for redemption.

On Saturday, the Lynx will face the Shield (0-5) for the first time this season. The Shield are off to a tough start, especially as of late due to injuries to star players including David Kovar, the teams' leading scorer from a season ago.

There's a big 4 points up for grabs this weekend and the Lynx are focused and determined to grab all of them and start climbing up the North Division's standings.

Be sure to come watch on Friday night, and make sure to come early as we are expecting a full capacity crowd once again.

Go Lynx Go!
